About

Hey, I'm Danny. I'm from the Bay Area; started in the East Bay, then studied in San Francisco, and now I'm currently in Palo Alto.

My current hobbies are learning to play the piano, painting using water color, and taking pictures using a Polaroid camera.

Yes I'm a cat person.

Timeline:

Middle College High School
From 2011 to 2015 I attended Middle College High School at Contra Costa College. MCHS is an early college highschool, which meant that while earning my high school diploma I also earned an associates degree in math and science.
My first year I was in the Robotic's Club. Which is where I started learning about programming, we used C++ for our Robot. Also I helped with that logo; it's supposed to be a Tetris piece because our robot was L shaped. Though, at the end my first year the teacher in charge left and so the club was only that year.
In the meantime I joined another club called MESA (MATH ENGINEERING SCIENCE ACHIEVEMENT). My senior year, I help start a club called the Computer Science Club, where we ran weekly meetings and worked on individual projects, mostly I taught the underclassmen programming basics.

Overall the curriculum was more intense because it included the required high school courses as well as college courses. However this meant that once I went to a 4 year university I would come in with abundant college credit.

San Francisco State University
2015-2017
From Fall 2015 to Fall 2017, I attended San Francisco State University. I received my Bachelors of Science in Computer Science. I started with 70 credits which mostly coverered all my undergrad requirements and all but two math courses required to complete my major.

My curriculum started with basics in Java, then data structures, discreet math, computer theory, software development. For my senior electives, I choose Internet Application Design and Development, Interactive Multimedia Application Development, and Application Development for Mobile Devices. The last of which was actually a graduate course which I had test into.

Internship
February 2018 - April 2018
Interned at Regalix, as a software developer. My duties were to develop and deploy new features. Write clean, well-designed code following industry best practices.

My first week there I was trained on basic frontend development; html, css, javascript, and jquery.

Over the next weeks I worked along side a backend developer on a plugin for shopify. During this time I also worked on some HTML emails, to advertise it's release to existing users.

Software Developer
Once becoming full time at Regalix, I started working on Sharedemos, a sales content platform by Regalix. Here I worked a much bigger team, that was also international.
Later I had to work an entirely new project in which I had to build the frontend from scratch; Regalix.TV . Initially I worked along side a backend developer but eventually the team grew to have two backend devs and two frontend devs. In the meantime of working on these projects I also worked on smaller one off sites to advertise services that Regalix offers.
